A Conservative councillor on Cheshire East Council has defected to UKIP.
Cllr Andy Barrett, who represents the Odd Rode ward in Congleton, is the second UKIP councillor on Cheshire East Council.
We brought you the news in May of UKIP's other Cheshire East councillor, Brian Sylvester, making a complaint about the Conservative leader of Cheshire East Council sending an email urging people not to vote UKIP during the restricted election period. Clearly that message was lost on Cllr Barrett who has instead ditched the Tories for UKIP.
